The clocks are changing in just a few days and with the long list of events planned for the start of April, we are delighted to rise out of the last of our hibernation and embrace the beginning of Cornwall’s exciting calendar of events.

With the daffodils in bloom since January in south Cornwall, it feels as though we’ve been ready for springtime frivolities since the turn of the year. The clocks are due to change on Sunday 26th March and with the long list of events planned for the start of April, we are delighted to rise out of the last of our hibernation and embrace the beginning of Cornwall’s exciting calendar of events.

We have rounded up a few of our favourite Spring events in Cornwall so you can enjoy a memorable holiday that’s bound to keep the young and young at heart entertained. 

Easter at The Lost Gardens of Heligan in St Austell

Sat 1st – Sun 16th April

This spring, join us to get rooted in nature and take part in a Heligan Easter hunt with a twist. You’ll be searching for the many joys within the season as we explore the science and magic of roots and shoots and the commitment, skill and joy of nature.

We also look forward to welcoming ewe to meet our new-borns and to hear more about the lambing season and our conservation breeding programme.

Easter Clay Shape Painting Children’s Workshop at The Poly in Falmouth

Tuesday 4th April 11am – 12pm

Come down to The Poly this Easter and paint some pre-made Easter shapes (eggs, bunnies and more!) with their Assistant Potter Mawgan. The shapes will be available to paint and take home on the day. Suitable for ages 5 plus, all children must be accompanied by an adult. £5 including £1 Poly Fund. 

The Greenbank Easter Sunday Lunch in Falmouth 

Sun 9th April

Enjoy three courses of award-winning Cornish cuisine with this special Easter Sunday lunch menu for £39. Soak up the beautiful ambience and views from The Water’s Edge harbourside restaurant and enjoy exceptional service from their friendly team.

Choose from seasonal spring dishes such as a warm Cornish crab tart, a slow-cooked shoulder of Spring lamb, followed by an Easter Sundae torte.

Spring Printmaking School

Mon 10th April – Fri, 14th April 

Courses are tutored by John Howard, RE, with technician support. The School will allow participants to explore a range of printmaking techniques or focus on developing a particular area of expertise for £315. They run with a maximum of 12 participants allowing for plenty of one-to-one bespoke tuition and support. Price is inclusive of materials, except paper, plate and screen coat which are available from the studio at cost price.

Easter Adventure Quest at Pendennis Castle

Sat 1st – Sun 16th April

Join Pendennis Castle on a legendary quest this Easter holiday. Crack the clues and search for the dragon eggs as you explore an outdoor trail around the castle. Intrepid explorers who track down the hatched dragon will be rewarded with a chocolate treat and a certificate!
