Pop on your wellies and explore the nearby creeksides and woodlands by foot. Walks in nature abound from the doorstep of Acorn Cottage, leading you through the many winding treelined pathways that end at a famous pub or restaurant. The 13th century, thatched Pandora Inn, just over a mile away, with its floating pontoon stretching out onto Restronguet Creek, is just one of the many local must-see spots within easy reach.
After a day of Cornish adventuring, come home to calming hues of blue and white. The coastal charm of the effortlessly chic interior is a breath of fresh air, and the living space is fantastically light filled thanks to the large bay window in the sitting room. A woodburner adds that extra touch of luxury and comfort, and the crackling of logs on the fire provide the perfect soundtrack as you, and the family dog, of course, unwind
after rewarding days out.
Lit beautifully from the large bay window, this cosy room is tastefully furnished with an oak wooden floor and includes a comfortable two seater sofa and two armchairs, shelved alcoves with books/DVDs, TV with Freeview and DVD player, wood burner.
With a good range of fitted units, fan-assisted electric oven and hob with extractor unit, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing/drying machine, dishwasher and dining table with four chairs. A door from the kitchen leads outside onto Rose Hill.

A lovely light sunny room with comfortable and attractive double bed, pretty feature fireplace (decorative only) fitted hanging/shelved space, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets with bedside lights.

The front door leads to an attractive cottage style garden with brick paved pathway, gravelled areas, raised beds and attractive seating. A BBQ is provided for guests use. Steps then lead down to a parking area suitable for two cars. Directly across the road is a large playing field which is bound to appeal to the younger members of the party! Please note dogs are not permitted on the playing field but there are lovely riverside walks locally – please ask us for further details.
Location and Surrounding Area
The idyllic creekside village of Mylor has a vibrant community atmosphere and a charming array of little shops for the essentials. The general stores is renowned locally for its range of delicious Cornish produce and freshly baked pasties. In Mylor village, you’ll also find a fishmonger, a local butcher, and a newsagent. Local pubs abound, and the acclaimed waterside Pandora Inn, with its iconic thatched roof, is a fifteen minute walk away. Closest to hand is The Lemon Arms in Mylor, a mere five minutes from your cottage.
This wonderful corner of Cornwall is full of footpaths and quiet country lanes ripe for exploring. A fifteen minute stroll along narrow lanes will take you to Weir Point, where a peaceful, safe and secluded shingle
beach and a slipway awaits. There are local beaches for each day of the week close by, with three in
Falmouth, one in Flushing, and the sheltered Loe beach in Feock, to name just a few.
For adventures on the water, Mylor Yacht Harbour offers sailing schools, boat hire and berths. There is also a pub and restaurant, both dog-friendly – and a café. The towns of Penryn, only two miles away, and Falmouth, less than four miles away, have fantastic independent shops, restaurants and art galleries. While Cornwall’s capital, Truro, eight miles away, provides a comprehensive range of shopping facilities, plus a theatre and a mainline train station.
