Kerensa an Mor is the primary home of its careful, sailor owner and as such has the feel of a much loved abode. The no expense spared interior exudes a feel of calmness and quality, one that we are sure will make the perfect holiday retreat for you.

This detached residence is nestled on the hillside overlooking Falmouth harbour – the sea views are spectacular! Situated in such a tranquil spot, you might not believe that you are just a short stroll from the town centre and a great array of restaurants and interesting shops. Head in the opposite direction and you are just ten minutes walk from Gyllyngvase Beach.

Kerensa an Mor has two sitting rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms and as such makes this a very desirable holiday house for two couples. The spacious kitchen with AGA and separate cooker and hob will appeal to keen cooks, whilst the rest of you will enjoy eating on the terrace, or the back sun trap seating area.

This centrally located and beautifully appointed, quality residence attracts a loyal and regular guest list.

Dining table to sit six, patio doors to the back garden and built in shelves.


A large room with plenty of counter top space and a table with two bar stools. Electric traditional AGA (on from October to April) and also an AGA double electric oven/grill and gas hob. Bosch fridge/freezer, microwave and Miele dishwasher. At the end of the kitchen is a separate utility room with a Miele washing machine and condensor tumble dryer.

Downstairs bedroom

6ft zip and link bed (which will be made up as a super-king unless you request otherwise), two bedside tables, wardrobe and patio doors onto front terrace.

Downstairs shower room

A large room accessible from either the bedroom or the hallway, with a walk in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.


A second living area with sofa and stunning views of the harbour.

Master bedroom

A large room with super-king bed, wardrobe, drawers, dressing table, bedside tables and lamps.

Front garden

Stairs up from either the drive or road, the patio has stunning views of Falmouth and table and chairs for four. Due to steep drops from the steps at the property we are not able to accept children under the age of 10 years old.

Back garden

A lovely paved area, perfect for a coffee in the sun.


Please note that to access the parking at the property you have to drive through a very old stone arch. At the smallest point it is 200cm wide, and at 180 cm high it starts curving at the top. For this reason, a wide car or high car would not fit through.


There is parking next to the house for two cars in tandem, please note the driveway is shared with next door.

Location and Surrounding Area


Just two minutes down the hill and you are on the award winning Falmouth high street with great independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Pop down to Baker Tom’s for some artisan bread and pastries for breakfast and then back to eat it on the patio.

For entertainment pay a visit to Pendennis Castle, a tudor fort built by Henry VIII or the exciting National Maritime Museum Cornwall.  There are many art galleries, including The Poly and Falmouth Art Gallery which often have workshops for little ones and live performances. The Ships and Castles Leisure Centre has a great swimming pool, or for relaxation, visit one of the town’s hotel spas for an afternoon of pampering.

Watch the ferries come in and out of the harbour to and from St Mawes, Flushing or Truro. On Tuesday night behold the spectacle that is the working boats sailing into the harbour.

Coming by public transport? Falmouth Town train station is just 5 minutes walk from the house. Catch buses from The Moor, or get around by water.

Whatever you decide to do, we know that Kerensa-an-Mor will be a fabulous from which to enjoy your holiday.

Beautifully appointed, with a lovely terrace overlooking Falmouth harbour. The situation is ideal - an easy walk to the High Street, but far enough away to avoid the noise!

Vehicle access: Please note that to access the parking at the property you have to drive through a very old stone arch. At the smallest point it is 200cm wide, and at 180 cm high it starts curving at the top. For this reason, a wide car or high car would not fit through.

Guest access: There is almost level access from the parking area to the front terrace and then there are three steps up into the house, (no hand rail). Once in Kerensa-an-Mor up to two people (utilising the ground floor bedroom and shower room), should have all that they need on this floor and this therefore makes the house suitable for those with some limited mobility. Please note however that the house is situated in an elevated position and access to Falmouth town is steep in parts.

Adults only: Please note that Kerensa-an-Mor is an adults only holiday home.

Beds: unless you request otherwise the zip and link bed will be made up as a double (6ft super-king). Should you require twin beds please let us know at least ten days in advance of your arrival so that we can book out the correct linen for you. Thank you.

Pets: unfortunately this holiday home is unable to welcome dogs.
