Tucked away in a rural hamlet, this wisteria-clad stone cottage offers a slice of pastoral idyll, where days can be spent in a haze of wandering through country lanes and along peaceful riversides. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this large stone farmhouse is an enchanting place to stay in Cornwall for a large family group. Stable Cottage is well situated to explore the Helford River and the surrounding Cornish countryside.

In late spring the heady scent of wisteria hangs in the still air of the stone courtyard, and the irresistible sounds of the countryside enliven the senses. In summer it might instead be the crisp, rich smell of hay. Here you’ll find your Cornish paradise, awash with charm and character. A chic interior is married with all the rustic details you would expect from a building able to trace its roots back to the 16th century. Three large living rooms allow families the space to spread out for adventurous playtimes, or simply to enjoy quiet moments together.

Hire a boat from the nearby Helford Passage and take the family out for a meander on the water. Or take a short drive to the Lizard for a day, exploring the villages, beaches and clifftops around the most southerly point of mainland Britain.
