Summary

This is a charming detached holiday home, set in well established enclosed (dog-friendly) gardens, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac just behind the village square of Mawnan Smith. The property is furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout and provides a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area. The living areas are spacious and light with most enjoying views over the good sized garden and countryside. Oil-fired central heating and an open fire in the sitting room keep toes (and paws) toasty whatever the weather.

Mawnan Smith village offers basic day-to-day shopping and a quaint (dog friendly) thatched inn. The coastal footpath (with breath-taking scenery), sub-tropical gardens and beaches are all within a mile. Falmouth town is approx. 10 minutes by car and offers boat trips, entertainment, pubs, shops and restaurants. If you are bringing a dog with you, there is a network of fabulous footpaths locally and you may even stop to enjoy a cream tea en route… you’re on holiday, after all.

* Please note that Trembath is adjacent to a timber frame, new build, that is being erected from 19th April. The building works are due to complete on this small, two bedroom house, by 28th May 2021. During this time we can offer you a 30% reduction on a week’s stay there as there is likely to be some noise inconvenience *

Mawnan Smith village has a good variety of shops and services for its size, including an attractive thatched inn, Post Office, grocers, electrician, hairdresser, and coffee house.

The Helford River, renowned for its sailing waters is close by, and there are many good beaches within easy reach.

Budock Vean Golf Course (9 hole) is within a mile and Falmouth Golf Course (18 hole) is approx five miles.

The gorgeous little hamlet and beach of Durgan, on the Helford River, is about a 20 minute walk, as is Maenporth Beach (via the public footpath).

The beautiful gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah are within walking distance.

Falmouth is 5 miles and Truro is 12 miles away.

Pets: One well behaved dog is welcome at £20 per week, with the expressed permission of the owner. No dogs under 1 year of age. Please ensure that they are not permitted on any of the furniture or soft furnishings.

Table Tennis: Please bring your own ping pong balls if you would like to play table tennis during your stay, as we cannot guarantee there will be any at the house.

Zip & Link bed: This bed will be made up as a super-king unless you have requested otherwise. Please email your alternative bed requirements to info@cornishholidaycottages.net at least ten days before your arrival.
