Location and Surrounding Area

The house is perfectly placed to explore all of Falmouth’s secret nooks and crannies. Trevarrick is moments from The Greenbank Hotel and its waterside terrace, afternoon teas and delectable cocktails. The Boathouse and The Working Boat Pub, for real ale and good food are a hop, skip and a jump away. A short stroll leads you to the Old High Street which is populated with independent shops, eateries, bars, cafes, live music venues, bakeries and even a Cornish folklore and mythology museum.

Stroll a little further down into the town to discover the Prince of Wales Pier, where regular ferries allow you to explore the opposite village of Flushing and St Mawes, a quaint fishing village with pastel-coloured houses, a plethora of art galleries and renowned restaurants. At the far end of Falmouth town is the Discovery Quay, events square and National Maritime Musuem Cornwall. Ten minutes stroll further and you are at Castle Beach, with its friendly cafe and on occasion live music. Falmouth is also graced with Gyllyngvase and Swanpool Beaches, for dawn dips, sunbathing, paddleboarding and water excursions.

During rainy days, pop into Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum which hosts a number of engaging exhibitions, and keep an eye on the town’s event calendar to experience Cornish culture and get to know the locals. Make the most of the unique setting and take to the southwest coastal path to explore beaches, coves, ancient forests and coastal pubs.

Further afield we recommend visiting the magical Kynance Cove which provides a memorable atmosphere in any season. Explore famous St Ives which is only a 45-minute drive from Falmouth and spend time in The Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Closer to home, the colourful subtropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan await with their cosy cafes and Helford River beaches.
