Trelissick

Trelissick is a welcoming garden set in an estate with stunning maritime views and lovely woodland walks.

Trelissick is set on its own peninsula, with gorgeous panoramic views over the Fal Estuary. Explore the meandering paths and cow-populated fields, travel through the gardens leading to exotic plants and herbaceous borders bursting with colour and texture. Follow the woodland walks with your four-legged friends in tow through dappled sunlight, across open parkland.

Nosey in the Cornwall Craft Association art gallery which showcases a wide range of work from local Cornish artists. Indulge in something yummy at Crofters Cafe, from light refreshments, and hot lunches to afternoon cream tea and packed lunches for children, all using seasonal and local produce. Take something home from the gift shop or second-hand bookshop, and spy the National Trust Rapunzel tower over the walled garden.

I adore the view in the front of the house at Trelissick looking back down the river towards Falmouth and Pendennis Castle.  We visit quite often, as you don’t need to always enter the house as well as the gardens; from the car park, there are so many lovely walks around the Estate grounds and along the river bank.
