Thai Orchid

The Thai Orchid is Cornwall’s first and oldest Thai restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine in a restored sixteenth century building in the centre of Falmouth.

The moment you walk through the door, you leave behind the Cornish streets of Falmouth town and into another country and culture. 

As you step inside you are greeted with an intimate, cosy and dimly-lit space with soft furnishings, twinkly lights and the soft scent of burning incense. Bamboo climbs the walls, atmospheric lighting glitters from the walls, plant leaves wrap around structural wooden beams and soft tranquil music flows calmly throughout the space. Visitors can opt to dine in comfortable booths or in cosy corners and the service is quick and friendly.

Made to order using only traditional ingredients, their dishes are prepared to traditional Thai recipes and made to taste upon request. 

Dishes on the menu include pad-see-ew, Thai green mussels and Thai tapas which offer diners the chance to share and indulge in all of their favourite classic starters such as spring rolls, dumplings and chicken satay skewers.
