Summary

Bowline oozes contemporary charm with chic nautical overtones, creating a fantastic holiday home for up to six people. Nestled in the Port Pendennis Harbour Village, this wonderful, first floor apartment is perfectly appointed for those that enjoy tranquillity but also want to be easily connected to all that the harbour town of Falmouth offers. Port Pendennis Harbour Village is just metres from the Events Square and National Maritime Museum Cornwall on Discovery Quay. Here you can enjoy a great program of events throughout the year, including Falmouth Week, the Sea Shanty Festival, and the ever-popular Oyster Festival.

Eating out is a real delight in Falmouth. You will find a great selection of restaurants and cafes serving fresh, local produce cooked to perfection, or grab some fish and chips from Harbour Lights and perch on the sea wall and soak up the surroundings.

Instant electric wall heaters and a plethora of comfortable furnishings will ensure that you are warm whatever the weather, but of course we hope for much sunshine and warm temperatures for you so that you may fully enjoy the three beaches in Falmouth: Castle, Gyllyngvase and Swanpool. Castle Beach being the closest is just a five minute stroll on foot.

Being this close to Falmouth town and all of the wonderful eating establishments you may well be dining out most meal times, but should you decide to eat at Bowline, you will find very good cooking facilities.

In the entertainment stakes Falmouth has so much to offer, with a bowling alley, leisure centre with fun pool, three beaches, great coastal walks, boat trips, interesting shops and many an art gallery. The Poly shows a lot of art house films and The Phoenix all the big box office hits.

There are various different transport links with the most fun being the water taxi, the small passenger boats taking you to St.Mawes, Truro and up the River Fal. Falmouth has three branch line train stations, with ‘the Docks’ being the closest.

Spacious and spotlessly clean accommodation. Excellent location for exploring Falmouth. Great facilities that were ideal traveling with a small baby! The only suggestion for an improvement to Bowline would be a more modern television with access to the standard TV apps (e.g. BBC iPlayer, etc.) as we were unable to make the most of the Christmas TV schedule.

Response

Many thanks for your kind review of your recent stay at Bowline. We are pleased that you enjoyed the excellent location and facilities for your family Christmas break. We appreciate your feedback regarding the television and will ensure to pass this on to the owners. Kind regards from all of us at Cornish Holiday Cottages.
