Martyn and Lynne, Staying at Lower Deck
Frenchman's Creek, January 2022. T-shirt weather, and the river to ourselves! Sailed from Lower Deck, Port Navas.
Martyn and Lynne
Facing South on the edge of Port Navas Creek, Lower Deck nestles alongside the tideline of the Helford River. Few other places in Cornwall offer such unique positioning as this artfully designed ground-floor apartment in Port Navas. With direct water access and an ever-changing view as the water ebbs and flows in and out of the creek.
A haven for water-lovers, a stay at Lower Deck puts you right in the thick of all things afloat. Expeditions via kayak can take place mere moments from the front door, and children can spend hours crabbing from the quayside.
As swans mosey on past the windows and egrets pace the shoreline, unload the catch of the day and fire up the BBQ. A large outside seating area adjacent to the slipway and the kitchen makes for alfresco dining on balmy evenings, with only the lapping of the turning tide and brilliant conversation to distract from the peace.
Freshly renovated to an exacting standard, Lower Deck offers luxury. Larger parties or families travelling together may wish to also book out Upper Deck and spread out across the two apartments. Together the properties sleep up to 12 people in six bedrooms.
With views of the water, electric oven, four ring hob, Nespresso machine and milk foamer, washing machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Dining area to seat and two steps down to the sitting area with TV, comfortable seating and wonderful creek views.
Views of the river, king size (5ft) bed, chest of drawers and bedside lights.
King size (5ft) bed, chest of drawers and fitted wardrobe.
Bespoke bunk beds, wall lights and chest of drawers.
Bath with overhead shower, WC, basin and heated floor.
Walk in shower, WC, basin and heated floor.
A patio area with seating for 6, a large sun deck to lie on, bbq and stunning views of the water.
There is one car parking space reserved for you just metres from the apartment. Given the limited parking, additional vehicles should be parked in the village a 2/3 minute walk away.

Constantine and Mawnan Smith, with their own stunning countryside, have a variety of shops.
