Summary

Contemporary and bright, Rosedene sets a tone balanced between the quiet of the countryside and the promise of adventure. On holiday in Falmouth, while away your days beside shimmering seas on secret beaches, before cosying up in cool cafés and cocktails bars.

Situated between the beaches of Swanpool and Maenporth on the quiet coastal outskirts of Falmouth near Pennance Point. Rosedene is surrounded by the peaceful landscaped fairways of Falmouth Golf Course, yet remains within striking distance of Falmouth town. Here the bustling harbour and colourful high street has things to see at each turn and experiences to savour with every step.

Rosedene is a modern holiday home built for seamless stays near the seaside. An open-plan kitchen, dining and living room on the ground floor keeps things social and lively. The three bedrooms are comfortably kitted out with luxurious beds which can be flexibly arranged. Two bathrooms, including an en-suite for the master bedroom and WC on the ground floor, ensure that there’s never a queue for the loo.

Externally, an enclosed garden with patio for dining outdoors offers a safe place for children to play and explore. Keep an eye on the little ones through the floor to ceiling windows whilst preparing a picnic. On the first floor, an elevated balcony runs along the rear of the house, with doors opening out from the master bedroom and the single bedroom. Positioned to enjoy views through the neighbouring houses to the Maen Valley beyond, this might just become your new favourite spot for an evening glass of wine.

There are four sandy beaches close by, so take your pick. Closest is Swanpool Beach with its crystal-clear waters and white sand. Fine dining with stunning views at Hooked on the Rocks, the renowned Swanpool beach café with decadent ice-creams and Elemental water-sports centre. Furthermore, there is a water-refill station, parking and public conveniences, making this beach a great choice for families.

Wander around Swanpool lake, a site of special scientific interest and a great spot to bring little ones to learn about nature and feed the ducks, swans and other wildlife.

Seasoned golfers and amateurs alike can make use of Falmouth Golf Club, the fairways of which have some of the best views around of Falmouth Bay.

Explore the South-West coast path and it won’t be long before you are uncovering new places, from beautiful vistas to the sheltered sands of Maenporth. The South West coast path is well maintained and dips into many coves, villages and waterside eateries, so you can refuel and explore for as long as your legs can carry you.

The vibrant Falmouth town has passenger ferries waiting to take you on day trips across the water to St Mawes and the Helford. An array of independent shops, galleries and places to eat line the streets of Falmouth.

The nearby Helford River is an area of outstanding natural beauty. A place for sailors, sea-swimmers and creative picnickers to roam around at a quieter pace.

Further afield, the famous north coast of Cornwall with it’s surfing beaches and the acclaimed Lizard Peninsula is around a 45 minute drive in the car.

Lovely house, clean and tidy with good furnishings. Garden pleasant and located in quiet neighbourhood. Downstairs excellent. Second double bedroom is a little cramped but other bedrooms are excellent.
