Location and Surrounding Area
There are four sandy beaches close by, so take your pick. Closest is Swanpool Beach with its crystal-clear waters and white sand. Fine dining with stunning views at Hooked on the Rocks, the renowned Swanpool beach café with decadent ice-creams and Elemental water-sports centre. Furthermore, there is a water-refill station, parking and public conveniences, making this beach a great choice for families.
Wander around Swanpool lake, a site of special scientific interest and a great spot to bring little ones to learn about nature and feed the ducks, swans and other wildlife.
Seasoned golfers and amateurs alike can make use of Falmouth Golf Club, the fairways of which have some of the best views around of Falmouth Bay.

Explore the South-West coast path and it won’t be long before you are uncovering new places, from beautiful vistas to the sheltered sands of Maenporth. The South West coast path is well maintained and dips into many coves, villages and waterside eateries, so you can refuel and explore for as long as your legs can carry you.
The vibrant Falmouth town has passenger ferries waiting to take you on day trips across the water to St Mawes and the Helford. An array of independent shops, galleries and places to eat line the streets of Falmouth.
The nearby Helford River is an area of outstanding natural beauty. A place for sailors, sea-swimmers and creative picnickers to roam around at a quieter pace.
Further afield, the famous north coast of Cornwall with it’s surfing beaches and the acclaimed Lizard Peninsula is around a 45 minute drive in the car.
