Summary

If you love a room with a view, then Victoria Quay 6 might just send you head over heels. Positioned right on the harbour, within the Packet Quays, it’s impossible to get an apartment any closer to the water. Built on an historic working harbour, Victoria Quay 6 enjoys uninterrupted panoramic views of the water from the sitting room and kitchen.

The small balcony offers the ideal spot to sit and relax, so settle into the evening with a glass of your favourite drink at sundown and simply watch the world go by. No two moments on this ever-changing harbour are the same and every glance offers something new. A slipway to the side of Victoria Quays allows direct access to the small beach at low tide, along with dinghy launching, so you can easily explore the rivers and inlets that make the Fal Estuary so alluring.

Falmouth town centre, with all its amenities, is just a few minutes’ walk away. And when out among its cobbled streets you’ll discover a town rightly regarded as home of fine culinary flair, with an ever-evolving range of award-winning, independent, and pop-up restaurants just waiting to be relished.

Victoria Quay 6 is a truly wonderful base to enjoy all that Falmouth and Cornwall has to offer. The question is, though, will you be able to drag yourself away from that view?

Victoria Quay is part of the prestigious waterside development of Packet Quays. Set in a quiet and secluded position on the harbourside, just a short walk from the centre of the beautiful and vibrant town of Falmouth, home to the third largest natural harbour in the world.

A vibrant food scene, along with a rich calendar of events throughout the year, make Falmouth a top cultural destination, as well as a wonderfully scenic one. From the International Sea Shanty Festival to the renowned restaurants, bars and cafés, there are adventures to be found in every sense and direction.

From the Prince of Wales Pier, regular ferry services provide scenic trips across the harbour to the picturesque villages of Flushing and St.Mawes, or up the Fal River to the cathedral city of Truro. From your vantage point at Victoria Quay 6 you’ll see these boats criss-crossing the harbour, so you could even look
back at your waterside home as you yourself cross the water.

When a day of rural wonder calls, take a boat or a short drive over to the breathtaking Helford River area. Renowned for its ancient woodland and creeks simply brimming with nature – including the iconic and unspoilt Frenchman’s Creek, of Daphne du Maurier fame – this is where the pace is slowed to serenity. With crystal-clear waters and dog-friendly beaches, the area is also home to the subtropical gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah, where you’ll find rare and exotic plants flourishing here in the temperate southern Cornish climate.

Back in town, the people of Falmouth are fortunate enough to have three great beaches – Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, and Castle Beach – so be sure to bring your swimmers and make use of the soft golden sand and crystal blue waters just moments away.

A drone image of Pendennis Castle in Falmouth, the water is blue and the town can be seen in the distance beyond.

The location of this property is absolutely fantastic and we had a lovely stay there. The decor is a little bit tired but that didn't put us off. There were a couple of missing/broken items when we arrived, which we have reported to the agency.

Response

We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the wonderful location just off the Old High Street, providing easy access to Falmouth harbour, shops, and restaurants. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention, your feedback is greatly appreciated. Regrettably the spare light bulbs in the property did not fit the bedside lamp and you found two cracked glasses. We aim to have spares available in each property for guests and we are sorry this didn’t happen in this instance. As you know we did offer to send replacements at the time, which you declined. Thank you for setting aside the two cracked glasses so that we could take them away and replace with new ones. Following the bank holiday, we promptly arranged for new bulbs to be sent over on Tuesday morning. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Falmouth in the future. Our warmest regards from Sarah and the team at Cornish Holiday Cottages.
