Planted Café

Serving healthy, sustainable and natural food in a setting dedicated to the natural world.

Owned and run by brother and sister Hugo and Pixie and placed on the busy Church Street in Falmouth, the space is designed with greenery in mind. The back room is graced with large windows with views that reach from Flushing to Pendennis Docks.

With backgrounds in hospitality and growing and herb systems for restaurants and businesses, the sibling duo strive to make a welcoming, comfortable, and relaxing space that will leave diners feeling refreshed, revitalised and oxygenated. Their aim, to be as plastic-free and possible, is shown through their eco-friendly cups which are from Husk Cup, their takeaway packaging which is 100% recyclable and their coffee roasters who use compostable packaging.

Plants line the walls and hang from the ceiling and wooden textures make the space feel like you’re sat in a jungle. By day Planted serves a delicious menu of healthy and homemade baked goods, steaming cups of coffee, breakfast and brunch items, and dishes of the day, most of which are vegan but can be adapted to accommodate people who eat meat.

By night time they reopen as a cocktail bar serving local brews, cocktails and wine.

Planted is a space that is relaxed, healthy, social and plant orientated. It’s a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the stunning sunny views of the harbour or while away a few hours while sheltering from the rain.

Dog friendly, keep an eye out for Hugo’s dog Leroy who can be seen often at the window or getting lots of attention from visitors.
