The Boathouse

The Boathouse is one of Falmouth’s most popular pubs and one of only a handful of independent, free houses remaining in the town. The pub has been licensed for over 300 years and has stunning views over Falmouth Harbour, the Penryn River and Flushing, and out to the Carrick Roads.

The Boathouse has one of the finest views in Falmouth as it is positioned upon a hillside overlooking Falmouth estuary. Diners and dogs can enjoy the sparkling sea vistas from the covered, heated outdoor terrace which has recently undergone an extension.

Whether you’re seeking a light lunch, a decadent dinner or a rich Sunday roast, The Boathouse specialises in expertly made, locally-sourced and seasonal food, alongside hand-picked speciality ales and wines.

Seasonality, sustainability and locality are important to the team, and they are extremely proud to work with local fisherman, butchers, grocers and breweries who provide them with the very best seafood, meat, fruit, vegetables, wines and beers. Items on the menu include dishes such as sweet potato risotto, Newlyn beer-battered cod and roasted cauliflower curry.

Stocking a selection of over 30 gins, 20 rums and locally brewed ales on tap, visitors can sit back and relax in an environment full of atmosphere with a drink in hand, food on the way and live music singing through each room and out onto the terrace.
