The Food Barn

The Food Barn started as an idea developed during the Covid pandemic to help Cornish producers sell their wares over the lockdown. After a successful start, it has continued to grow since December 2020 to become a must-visit attraction for food and drink lovers.

Starting with just five stalls, word of mouth has turned the pop-up market, overlooking the beautiful creek at Flushing, into a memorable place to eat, connect with local producers and buy Cornish produce. From meat and fish, to beer and cider, cakes and bread, to flowers and coffee, there is a continuous rotation of over 25 local small business stalls. Some of these include Jack’s Kombucha, Matt’s Quay Fish, The Falmouth Distilling Co, Cornish Chillies, The Cornish Spice Man, Poke Food, Hanson Cheese, Penny’s Pies, Churn Me On Dairy, Push Chocolate, Gwenen Apiaries, Kramers Bagels, Green Elephant Beer Cellar, Essen Street Deli, Soul Farm, Sailors Creek Shellfish, Wild Botanic Flower Farm, Green Rabbit Flowers and Zoltan the Sharpener.

The Food Barn is held every Saturday from 9am – 1pm. Their Maker’s Market is the first Sunday of each month from 10am-2pm. Their events are family and dog-friendly, free entry, and have beautiful views out towards Falmouth and beyond.
