Location and Surrounding Area

Feock, home to the King Harry Ferry and the National Trust’s Trelissick Garden is surrounded by wood fringed creeks and enjoys the calm and serenity of the River Fal. The nearby Punchbowl and Ladle at Penelewy serves excellent food, or take the King Harry (car and passenger) Ferry across the river to St. Mawes and explore all that this picturesque village has to offer.

Carrick Treath is moments away from the tidal Loe Beach. A host of beaches lie just a short distance away, from the surf-spots on the north coast (45 mins) to blue-flag beaches and quite sandy coves in Falmouth ad the Helford River.

Truro and Falmouth in opposite directions offer good shopping facilities and opportunities to eat out are aplenty. Although once settled into life at Carrick Treath, you’ll be forgiven if you never want to leave.

Absolutely stunning location with beautiful views over the Carrick Roads. Very conveniently located between Falmouth and Truro. Large parking area with garden and property is right next to the beach. Such a peaceful location you can hear owls and see bats at night. The reason we haven’t given 4 starts is because we were slightly disappointed by the curtains in both the main bedrooms having damp / mould. The walls and floorboards around the patio doors in these rooms also had black spots / mould. The leather sofas had also collapsed and were very uncomfortable to sit on at nights..

CAUTION: Children under 5. Please take care with small children, this is a waterside property. Please also beware of the 4′ drop from the terrace onto lawn and also shallow fire pit on the terrace. Furthermore we recommend no unsupervised under 5’s upstairs as the stairs could be hazardous. A stairgate is provided at the ground floor level.

Pets
Yes one well behaved dog accepted @ £30 per week with the expressed permission of the owner. No dogs under 1 year of age.

Towels
One bath and hand towel, per person, provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
