My grandmother was 82 when she retired and whilst she did not trust the internet, I learnt a lot from her about conducting business with kindness and compassion. She had great charm, was hugely welcoming and was quite an eccentric. I have done my best to be a continuation of her values. Cornish Holiday Cottages is a portfolio of homes with soul, in gloriously appointed, coastal locations. Working in the county of Cornwall and enabling others to come and share in the magic is a real dream for my team and I.
As a company we have over forty years of experience in the holiday letting market. With this comes an awareness that not all owners have the same objectives when it comes to their second homes. It may be that you are primarily interested in generating enough income to cover the upkeep of your holiday home, or this is largely an investment venture for you. When we first meet, I will be looking to ascertain your objectives and how best Cornish Holiday Cottages can help you achieve them. I hope also we share the same values about how we will look after our guests.

Booking Plus
15% + VAT (effectively 18%)

• Liaison with your changeover cleaner
• Monthly accounting and payment of cleared funds direct to your bank
• Annual assessment report with recommendations for improvements
Full Management
18% + VAT (effectively 21.6%)
• A complete booking service for your holiday home
• Professional marketing, consultation, photography and inclusion on our comprehensive website
• A 24/7, 365 days of the year emergency response/customer service line for your guests
• Liaison with your changeover cleaner (who we appoint and pay direct)
• Access to our linen hire service
• Monthly accounting and payment of cleared funds direct to your bank
• Organisation of maintenance, garden work and repairs as necessary
• Annual assessment report with recommendations for improvements
• Full management is the most common option taken up by owners who live out of county
How do we differ from other agents?
• We have a unique portfolio of over 80, quality, waterside holiday homes in Falmouth and the Helford River area.
• We are not a get rich quick company – we started in 1977 and we believe that the best way to deliver excellent customer service, to clients and guests, is to stay small. People clamber to get on our books. We have been operating a one in, one out system for several years.
• We have an office in the heart of the area that we manage – open 6 days a week.
• We have a dedicated marketing team who work tirelessly on ensuring we are engaging with our target audiences as best we can.
• We have an easy to navigate, customer-focused website.
• We have a strong social media presence.
• Around half of our portfolio welcome dogs, procuring more shoulder season bookings.
• We have two in-house photographers and state of the art camera equipment enabling us to capture Cornwall and the cottages we manage at their best.
• We frequently reshoot the cottage images. There are no ‘out of date’ pictures on our site. We believe in frank and honest cottage descriptions and the pictures must therefore reflect the current condition also.
• We have a huge database of regular visitors, some who have been with us since the seventies!
• We are a long-established agency with strong roots and great local connections.
• We are all local people, who live and work in the beautiful area we promote. There’s not much we don’t know!
• Our team is made up of seven people of differing ages, meaning that we understand the needs of all of our customers, be they happily retired, with children or still footloose and fancy-free.
