Should you be able to pull yourself away from this seaside abode, there’s plenty to keep your days busy and adventures rolling. Whether it’s sampling Falmouth’s finest seafood restaurants, exploring South Cornwall’s picturesque towns, or discovering the wild and beautiful South West Coastal Path.
Bora Gwel is conveniently situated a few minute’s stroll away from Falmouth’s Historic Old High Street which is home to talk-of-the-town eateries Star & Garter, Restaurant Mine and Restaurant Four. A quick one-minute walk downhill will lead you to discover Stones Bakery, with its delicious selection of freshly baked pastries and bread, Beacon Coffee serving a changing coffee menu, and Falmouth’s many independent shops and galleries.
Just at the bottom of The Old High Street is the Prince of Wales Pier, where regular passenger ferries can be taken on foot across the glistening harbour for day trips on the coast to St Mawes and Flushing.

Awaiting discovery a 20-minute walk from the property are Falmouth’s famous beaches. Watch the sunrise and brave a morning dip at Gyllyngvase, Swanpool or Maenporth Beach, or rent out a paddleboard from local business WeSUP to take in the town from a unique viewpoint.
When a day of rural adventure calls, a short 15-minute drive will lead you to the magnificent Helford River, where peace can be found in open fields and ancient woodland lining the water. Here crystal-clear waters, secret and secluded coves, and winding subtropical gardens are accessible from the southwest coast path, while country pubs and areas of outstanding natural beauty come in abundance.
On a high tide, join the locals as they swim and jump directly into the harbour from the public garden next to the Greenbank Hotel. You can always choose to hold the towels instead whilst enjoying a tipple in the adjacent Working Boat pub and vast outside seating area.

Great location overlooking the harbour and a short walk into town - lots of space (even had a study!) - beautifully done out house and well-equipped - comfy beds - loads of crockery - great outside area at the back. Parking for 3 cars at the back a massive bonus - it was easy to get my Transit van around to the back where the parking is, so no issues if you have a large vehicle.
