Sabzi
Sabzi is a very popular, lunchtime spot in town, specialising in vibrant, flavourful vegetarian and vegan dishes inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine. It’s the place to go for grabbing something healthy and delicious to enjoy inside their café or on the beach, and so tasty that I’ve even seen people bring a Sabzi picnic to an evening performance at The Minack Theatre. If you need a takeaway lunch to enjoy later, this is the one – it’s just as delicious any time of day.
Our Managing Director, Emily, is quite possibly their biggest fan, as Sabzi makes a vegan alternative for most of their dishes, or they are already vegan. Huge bowls of bright salads, couscous, and a warming pot of house dahl reflect the love and care that owner Kate puts into her dishes. With an ever-changing seasonal menu, there’s always a returning favourite or something new to try. No visit is complete without sampling their acclaimed cinnamon and tahini bun – Emily’s personal favourite.
