Location and Surrounding Area
Victoria Quay is part of the prestigious waterside development of Packet Quays. Set in a quiet and secluded position on the harbourside, just a short walk from the centre of the beautiful and vibrant town of Falmouth, home to the third largest natural harbour in the world.
A vibrant food scene, along with a rich calendar of events throughout the year, make Falmouth a top cultural destination, as well as a wonderfully scenic one. From the International Sea Shanty Festival to the renowned restaurants, bars and cafés, there are adventures to be found in every sense and direction.

From the Prince of Wales Pier, regular ferry services provide scenic trips across the harbour to the picturesque villages of Flushing and St.Mawes, or up the Fal River to the cathedral city of Truro. From your vantage point at Victoria Quay 6 you’ll see these boats criss-crossing the harbour, so you could even look
back at your waterside home as you yourself cross the water.
When a day of rural wonder calls, take a boat or a short drive over to the breathtaking Helford River area. Renowned for its ancient woodland and creeks simply brimming with nature – including the iconic and unspoilt Frenchman’s Creek, of Daphne du Maurier fame – this is where the pace is slowed to serenity. With crystal-clear waters and dog-friendly beaches, the area is also home to the subtropical gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah, where you’ll find rare and exotic plants flourishing here in the temperate southern Cornish climate.
Back in town, the people of Falmouth are fortunate enough to have three great beaches – Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, and Castle Beach – so be sure to bring your swimmers and make use of the soft golden sand and crystal blue waters just moments away.

Victoria Quay 6 is nice apartment but in need of a little update. Hive heating is temperamental, the ensuite shower didn't work and the main bathroom needs silicone replacing at bottom of bath. For anyone elderly the steps from the steps from the apartment to the High St are a challenge if you are walking to shopping area. Lounge, bedrooms and kitchen were ok comfortable settee's and kitchen well equipped. Position overlooking water is very niceThank you for your feedback. We're really glad you enjoyed the lovely views over the harbour, it’s certainly one of the highlights of staying at Victoria Quay 6. We’re grateful that you called us on the day before your departure to let us know about the issue with the en-suite shower. As you were happy to use the main bathroom in the meantime, we arranged for the shower to be inspected (and replaced) on the changeover day, so your stay wouldn’t be further disrupted. Silicone does tend to discolour in the Cornish climate and particularly in holiday homes where the windows are not left open. We tend to address these areas annually, so you can be sure this will be dealt with as soon as time allows. While the property’s high position gives those beautiful harbour views, we completely understand that the steps might be challenging for some. Packet Quays is at the hilly end of Falmouth town and nestled on the harbour banks, however we will add further details to the property’s webpage, so that this is clear for all. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. The owner of the property has since stayed and made some enhancements. Your feedback helps us make every stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Thank you, Sarah and the Cornish Holiday Cottages team
