White Sails is a brilliant, split-level holiday home, built into the bank of Falmouth that lines the harbour. You get the best of both worlds: the close proximity to the town centre and yet the peace and tranquility of a waterside property. Occupying an elevated position, the views from this wonderful holiday home are far and wide – taking in all the boating activity in the harbour, across to the pretty village of Flushing, the Maritime Museum and shipyard.
Comfortably furnished and well equipped, White Sails is a great base for a self-catering holiday in Cornwall. Small ferries leave frequently from the quays nearby for sightseeing trips to Flushing, St Mawes and its castle and the famous Helford River with Daphne du Maurier’s Frenchman’s Creek.
Falmouth has an array of individual and unique boutiques, fine restaurants and traditional waterside Cornish pubs. Walk down the steps from White Sails and you are right on Falmouth’s Old High Street. Be sure to book in to eat at least one night at the wonderful Star & Garter pub. We also recommend a roast in The Boathouse just a little further up the hill. Both have harbour views to take your breath away, but then you’ll have those at White Sails too, so dining on the balcony could be just as relaxing.

Location and Surrounding Area
Falmouth is an interesting old town, with narrow streets and alleys to the waterside, retaining all the charm of the old fishing port. There are excellent shops, including many individual and unique boutiques, fine restaurants for eating out and traditional waterside Cornish pubs. Small ferries leave frequently from the quays nearby for sightseeing trips to Flushing, St Mawes and its castle and the famous Helford River with Daphne du Maurier’s Frenchman’s Creek.
As well as the prestigious National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth, there is an arts centre with cinema, bowling alley, leisure centre with fun pool and flume for children and three sandy beaches perfect for entertaining all the family whatever the weather.

Good location at the top of the High Street with great views over rooftops of the harbour & estuary. Secure, locked parking underneath means that you can forget about the car and load/unload in the dry if it's raining. Couldn't fault the apartment... everything you might need for a self-catering holiday was there. Lots of places in Falmouth within walking distance to eat & drink. If we have another holiday in Falmouth we would certainly look at booking this place again. Also, the holiday letting company (Cornish Holiday Cottages) are very professional and a joy to deal with.

Great location, fabulous views and car parking. Brilliant. We were pleasantly surprised by White Sails, we were expecting a traditional apartment with people above and/or below us. Instead it is a terraced situation built into the hillside, so more like a house than a flat.
White Sails is very well equipped and we really enjoyed our week there. It was great having access through the stairs straight onto the high street. It's only a few minutes from the pier where you catch the ferries, so perfect for getting around without the car.
The only thing that wasn't comfortable for us - and we do realise beds are a very personal preference - was the mattress on the king-sized bed. We found it very soft and both had aching backs.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed and positive review of White Sails! We are thrilled to hear that you had a great experience during your stay and that you found the location, views, and car parking to be brilliant.
Your description of White Sails as a terraced situation built into the hillside is much appreciated, as it provides valuable insight for future guests. We aim to create a unique and comfortable environment, and we're delighted to know that you enjoyed the well-equipped space and easy access to the high street and pier.
We're sorry to hear that the king-sized bed's mattress didn't meet your personal comfort preferences. We understand that mattress firmness can be a subjective matter, and we will certainly take your feedback into consideration for any future improvements.
It was a pleasure having you as our guests, and we hope to welcome you back to White Sails in the future. Sending very best wishes from the whole team at Cornish Holiday Cottages.

The property was clean and comfortable the views were great however the bathroom could benefit from a little updating the sink was very low down ok if you were four foot tall also had a slight crack in it and the waste pipe in bath was a bit tatty Also don`t think the towel rail needs to be heated 24hrs
Response

We're pleased to hear that you found the property clean and comfortable and that you enjoyed the great views. The accommodation was in a very good location, peaceful, but close to amenities in the town and with good views out to the sea. It was conveniently situated to take trips by boat to St Mawes and other places of interest. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Falmouth. It wasn't easy to sit out to eat on the balcony as it was a bit narrow but we enjoyed the views from there, especially at night.
