Gail, Staying at White Sails
So many photos to choose from, but a seagull, fishing boats, blue sky and water sums up the whole holiday!

White Sails is a brilliant, split-level holiday home, built into the bank of Falmouth that lines the harbour. You get the best of both worlds: the close proximity to the town centre and yet the peace and tranquility of a waterside property. Occupying an elevated position, the views from this wonderful holiday home are far and wide – taking in all the boating activity in the harbour, across to the pretty village of Flushing, the Maritime Museum and shipyard.
Comfortably furnished and well equipped, White Sails is a great base for a self-catering holiday in Cornwall. Small ferries leave frequently from the quays nearby for sightseeing trips to Flushing, St Mawes and its castle and the famous Helford River with Daphne du Maurier’s Frenchman’s Creek.
Falmouth has an array of individual and unique boutiques, fine restaurants and traditional waterside Cornish pubs. Walk down the steps from White Sails and you are right on Falmouth’s old High Street. Be sure to book in to eat at least one night at the wonderful Star & Garter pub. We also recommend a roast in The Boathouse just a little further up the hill. Both have harbour views to take your breath away, but then you’ll have those at White Sails too, so dining on the balcony could be just as relaxing.

Falmouth is an interesting old town, with narrow streets and alleys to the waterside, retaining all the charm of the old fishing port. There are excellent shops, including many individual and unique boutiques, fine restaurants for eating out and traditional waterside Cornish pubs. Small ferries leave frequently from the quays nearby for sightseeing trips to Flushing, St Mawes and its castle and the famous Helford River with Daphne du Maurier’s Frenchman’s Creek.
As well as the prestigious National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth, there is an arts centre with cinema, bowling alley, leisure centre with fun pool and flume for children and three sandy beaches perfect for entertaining all the family whatever the weather.
